SSC CPO 2024 Paper – 2 Syllabus
English Language and Comprehension:
The elements of this section aim to assess the candidate’s grasp and proficiency in the English language. The questions will focus on error recognition, filling in the blanks (utilizing verbs, prepositions, articles, etc.), vocabulary, spellings, grammar, sentence structure, synonyms, antonyms, sentence completion, and the idiomatic use of words.
SSC CPO 2024 Physical Endurance Test
The Physical Endurance Test, abbreviated as PET, assesses the candidate’s physical strength and capabilities. To qualify for this test, candidates must demonstrate physical fitness. The PET is applicable to both male and female candidates, and the criteria for the test are as follows –
Physical Endurance Test (PET) Requirements for Male Candidates:
- Completion of a 100-meter race within 16 seconds.
- Completion of a 1.6 Km race within 6.5 minutes.
- Long Jump requirement: Covering a distance of 3.65 meters in 5 attempts.
- High Jump: Clearing a height of 1.2 meters in 3 attempts.
- Short Put 16 LBS: Throwing a distance of 4.5 meters in 3 attempts.
Physical Endurance Test (PET) Requirements for Female Candidates:
- Completion of a 100-meter race within 18 seconds.
- Completion of an 800-meter race within 4 minutes.
- Long Jump requirement: Covering a distance of 2.7 meters or 9 feet in 3 attempts.
- High Jump: Clearing a height of 0.9 meters or 3 feet in 3 attempts.
SSC CPO 2024 Medical Test
In SSC CPO, emphasis is placed on both academic excellence and health, seeking candidates who are not only intelligent but also physically and medically sound. The medical examination is conducted by a Medical Officer from the Central Armed Police Forces (CAPF) or any qualified Medical Officer/Assistant Surgeon. Both male and female candidates must meet the stipulated medical requirements to successfully clear the test. In the event of a candidate being deemed unfit, there is an option to appeal to the medical board within 15 days. The criteria for the medical test are outlined as follows:
- Minimum Near Vision: N6 (better eye) and N9 (worse eye).
- Minimum Distant Vision: 6/6 (better eye) and 6/9 (worse eye).
- Absence of knock knee, flat foot, varicose veins, or squint in the eyes.
- Eye standards should meet the specified criteria without the use of visual correction, including glasses.
